I receive daily devotionals through e-mail and recently there was one titled "Day of Remembrance"...It was such a good reminder of what December 25th is, a day that marks the "most profound event in the history of the world". There are so many other things that keep us busy as we get ready for Christmas, but remembering the real reason for the season makes it that much more exciting! We visited a church several weeks ago and I loved their idea of celebrating Jesus' birthday in the children's classrooms...So, this past week as the girls had their Christmas parties at school, we incorporated our own little birthday party for Jesus! It was fun and the kids especially loved singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus! They had cupcakes, cookies and even made their own reindeer food to sprinkle in the yard Christmas Eve night...Oh, and I am also happy to say that I am officially done with my Christmas shopping, although I am sure I will find an excuse to buy something else in the next day or two! Merry Christmas...and Happy Birthday Jesus!!!
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us." (John 1:1, 14)
