Nesting

What a beautiful day...it's the middle of March, we're on Spring Break and I'm feeling a little inspired to write today! And besides, if I don't do it now, it may be awhile...baby boy will be here in about four weeks!! Nesting...that's what this is, electronic nesting. Anyway, we are in baby mode for sure...I think the girls are as just as much on the countdown as I am. They are SO excited to meet their baby brother, as are mommy and daddy! I still haven't completely been able to wrap my brain around the fact that we're really having a baby, a baby BOY at that...although, our house is now starting to see a nice balance of blue over the pink and purple that have dominated our house for the last 8 years. Well, and I do feel like I'm carrying a basketball around 24 hours a day...a 30 lb basketball, that is...but what a true blessing! I never cease to be amazed by God when I am willing and open to accept HIS plan, not mine! So, lots has happened since the last time I blogged...Pretty much all of fall, Lauren was baptized, Meghan learned how to ride her bike without training wheels, Christmas, Lauren's 8th birthday, snow days...and now Meghan's 6th birthday will be here next week! Hope to post again soon, but I'm not making any promises:) Enjoy the pics!

Finally...The Big Apple!

I have always loved New York, even though I had never been until this September...and now that I've FINALLY been, I heart it even more! Brian and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in the big apple and it was definitely one of the best trips we've ever taken! We did so much while we were there (and still didn't see it all)! Our hotel was right in the center of Times Square...in fact, our view was that of the New Year's Eve hot spot where the ball drops! We ate, we shopped, we walked, we saw two Broadway shows, we rode the tourist bus, went to Statue of Liberty, Canal Street, Soho, Empire State building at midnight (very cool!), went to the Today show AND made it on TV...and did I mention the walking? SO. MUCH. FUN. I loved that it was exactly what I had always imagined...and more! And what a great time it was for me and Brian to celebrate each other (the good, the bad and all of the in-between!). Praise God for His protection and provision over us, our marriage and our family...He is good, all the time! Start spreadin the news...I want to be a part of it (again), New York, New York!
