Lauren's 6th Birthday (January In-Review)

Ok, so I'm not doing so well with my "resolution" to update my blog more as it is February 2nd, and this is my first post of the new year...I will say though that January was an exciting month and the new year seems to be off to a great start! On January 5th, Ali & Jason had their baby and it's a BOY...Chase Lee Davis! I must say that my nephew is a cutie...lots of hair and (I think) looks like my sister:) Also in big news, my little Lauren turned 6!!! It's hard to believe that we have a 6-year-old...she's always been such a "big" girl, but 6 just sounds too big! She is still loving Kindergarten, and in fact, told me this morning on the way to school that she wants to be a teacher when she grows up...that just made me smile! Meghan is little miss sassy these days and her 4th birthday is around the corner, and she reminds us of that quite often:) Here are some pics from Lauren's bday...Enjoy:)

The Most Wonderful Time of Year...

It's hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone! But I do believe this Christmas was one of the most memorable ones yet...we added a puppy to the family, the girls are now officially sharing a room with a new bunkbed, going to ICE at the Gaylord are just a few to mention in addition to the Christmas festivities we got to enjoy with family and friends! Have I mentioned lately that I am blessed, way more than I feel I should be at times...which is why I am even more thankful that Jesus is the reason for the season! And now it's time to ring in a new year...Happy 2009!

Meet Miley!

Here she is...the new addition to our family! The girls absolutely adore Miley, although the challenge of sharing is at an all-time high...anyway, I am convinced that she is the cutest puppy ever!!!

Deck The Halls

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here! Shopping, decorating, holiday parties, wrapping presents and let's not forget Brian's birthday, which was the day after Thanksgiving this year...Let the hustle & bustle of this wonderful season begin!

Thanksgiving Feast & a "Big Girl" Surprise!

Lauren's school does a re-enactment of the first Thanksgiving, where the Kindergarteners are the Indians and the 1st graders are the Pilgrims. As a room mom for Lauren's class, I got to help plan the feastivities, and it was so much fun. I was especially impressed when the Kindergarten class recited the Ballad of the Mayflower...Wow! Also, we recently reached a big milestone with Meghan...hint: no more pull-ups!!! With the Holiday Season upon us, I hope to be a little more consistent with posting pictures, but we'll see how that goes...Happy Thanksgiving week and enjoy the pics:-)
